Start Waves
To ensure a safe and fair event for participants we have self seeded start waves. Be realistic and carefully choose your start waves. Timing and results is based on a Mat to Mat time.
CHECK POINTS
The course check points listed below are in the interest of participant safety. It is unlikely that this will affect your race however if you fall behind the timing checkpoints you will be removed from the event and classed as a non finisher.
Participants must reach and pass 15.9km (water station 3 as per map) by 11:10am or you will be removed from the course.

Please remember that these are the MINIMUM gear requirements. If you would normally take something extra on a run of this duration, you should still take it.
- Waterproof seam sealed jacket
- Thermal layer for torso
- Thermal hat
- Thermal layer for legs
- Survival bag – not a survival blanket
- Mobile phone in a waterproof container/zip lock bag

- Thermal gloves
- Collapsible cup

AID STATIONS
There will be aid stations on course to support the participants . The aid stations will have lemon and Lime Nuun hydration, water and toilets. Learn more about Nuun here
drop bags
A drop bag service is available at the start line.. You may only use a bag that is no bigger than a back packs or sports bags. The event will provide the ID label for the bag. Please collect before 4:40pm, any remaining gear bags will be donated to charity.
