A Summary:
The Winter Forest Festival features three events over two days. The festival includes the Winter Mountain Bike Classic, We Run the Forest, Gravel Royale, an expo, food and live music. The event aims to celebrate the winter vibes in the amazing Whakarewarewa Forest in Rotorua.
We Run the Forest:
We Run the Forest has four distance options including the 7km, 12km and 21km run or walk and 42km run only. This event takes on the stunning world famous Redwood Forest in Rotorua for the coolest winter forest run or walk. Finishers of all distances receive a medal.
Gravel Royale:
Gravel Royale is a 100% gravel road cycling race. The course is fully marked and is designed to be challenging but achievable. The course does not use any mountain bike trails. The distance options include the 32km and 20km course.
Winter Mountain Bike Classic:
New Zealand’s greatest cross country MTB series has come to an end and is now a single event known as the Winter MTB Classic. This event is the perfect winter MTB challenge for all, whether racing competitively or just out to have some fun. The courses used for the Winter MTB Classic are designed to be achievable and challenging.
